| Beyond the conventional since
1869
Morris, the name for quality and service
since 1869. 'To do the common thing uncommonly well brings success'
was the ethos of the Company's entrepreneurial founder, James Kent
Morris… a philosophy that has remained a cornerstone of the
Morris lubricants business to the present day.
Over 130 years of progress has seen Morris Lubricants
achieve the status of Britain's largest privately owned lubricants
company serving the home market and exporting to over 50 countries
worldwide.
Morris Lubricants continues to be a company
with a sense of history and tradition, with sound high quality products
and uncompromising customer service but combines these qualities
with a refreshing approach to future investment and innovation.
INVESTING
IN THE FUTURE
Not shackled by the short-term financial
requirements of many plc enterprises, an investment programme has
been undertaken that will take the Company into the new Millennium.
One of the most flexible automotive and industrial blending plants
in Europe has been installed and commissioned, with a capacity of
over 60 million litres per annum.
This investment is already bearing fruit in greater production flexibility
and reduced lead times. The latest phase of new warehousing, storage
facilities, laboratory and research centre is further contributing
to a total commitment to customer service.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT EXPERTISE
The Company invests heavily in Research
and Development to ensure that customers can benefit from the very
latest high performance technology, while keeping ahead of growing
environmental pressures and legislation.
Meeting customer requirements is paramount so
while developing new technology, the old is not discarded where
it has application. Morris Lubricants continues to talk about meeting
customer needs with a comprehensive range of over 1200 product formulae
whilst many producers talk of grade rationalisation and product
deletion.
Throughout the years, Morris innovations
have endured- 'Golden Penna', 'Golden Film', 'Multilife' and beyond.
Morris continues to be one of the few manufacturers still producing
lubricating oils for steam, diesel and petrol vintage machines and
power plants.
CUSTOMER FOCUS AND CARE SINCE 1869
Dramatic
changes have occurred on our planet since 1869. Technology has taken
us from candles to laser beams, from the horse and carriage to space
travel, from pen and ink to personal computers… Internet and
cyberspace! Even so, some things never change.
Morris Lubricants' focus on serving all the requirements within
specialist markets has been unswerving and its insistence on quality
products has stood the test of time.
Morris Lubricants continues to build on traditions of trust and
long term relationships with customers, suppliers and employees
and its primary tradition of providing solutions for customers through
technically sound products with uncompromising service has never
wavered.
QUALITY IN EVERYTHING WE DO
Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is
a further cornerstone of business development driven by independence.
Total independence in sourcing additives and
selected base oils combined with a strategic coastal tank farm ensures
optimum selection of 100% Quality Assured raw materials on global
basis.
Unlike many of its competitors, Morris Lubricants recognises the
benefits of a company owned, dedicated fleet of purpose built vehicles
with its drivers attuned to customer requirements and special needs,
a fundamental part of the service package.
In addition to ISO 9000 Certification and attainment
of the Ministry of Defence Quality Standard AQAP 4, Morris Lubricants
is a Quality Assured Supplier to Varity Perkins Engines and Railtrack
amongst others. The Company also enjoys a supply position with other
market leading operations across a broad spectrum of industry including
Lucas Varity, AP Lockheed, Champion Automotive Products, Hanson
Group, ARC, Birds Eye Foods, Weetabix and Walkers Crisps etc., special
relationships built upon quality, where technical products and supplier
performance partnerships really count.
SERVICE AND SUPPORT
In addition to extensive laboratory and
technical support facilities at Head Office, Morris Lubricants offers
a comprehensive range of in-field services to support its customers'
services supported by more than 20 field based technical representatives
with many years of practical hands-on experience in Lubrication
and Coolant Management.
