In these uncertain times caused by the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), I wanted to reach out to you personally about what we are doing here at Morris Lubricants to support you with your oil and lubricants requirements.
The key message is Business as Usual.
As an essential industry we are committed to maintaining supplies to our customers which includes emergency vehicle fleets, medical supply vehicles, freight and food distribution companies, and the network of agricultural vehicles who are mobilising to meet our food requirements. We supply electricity generators and manufacturing businesses who make essential provisions such as food products and hospital equipment which means it is vital that we continue production.
Demand is rising. We are being asked to provide larger than usual volumes to a number of customers to ensure the local availability of lubricants and thanks to the outstanding support and dedication of our staff we are maintaining production to meet this demand. Deliveries are unaffected but we would ask you to tell us if you have any special arrangements that we need to observe. Our drivers will maintain a safe distance from your staff and they are equipped to maintain high standards of hygiene.
Our top priority is the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff. The key to this is following government recommendations closely.
No suspected cases of COVID-19 have been reported in our business. Our production site is still operating at full capacity and is well stocked with the materials we need to fulfil customer orders. Extra staff have been drafted in to meet higher than usual levels of demand at this uncertain time.
Morris Lubricants are doing all they can to protect their staff and customers, and these are some of the steps we’ve taken to minimise any risks:
- The strictest hygiene standards are being followed at all our sites, with hand sanitiser stations around the business, disinfectant sprays and alcohol wipes at work stations and in offices, and posters reminding staff to wash their hands regularly.
- All non-essential travel in the business has been cancelled and all internal and external events have been postponed.
- We’ve also begun to allow staff the opportunity to work from home to reduce contact and to make sure we can continue to provide excellent service should the situation change.
