Morris Lubricants Racing Weekend Round-Up 23-24 October 2021

Lydia Walmsley headed to Brands Hatch for the final round of her debut season in the JCW Class of Mini Challenge UK. Having endured a challenging season with the step up in class, Lydia showed huge improvement with a top 10 finish in the first race, finishing fourth in her class. In the second and third races, Lydia again finished fourth in her class, whilst finishing 14th and 22nd, respectively.

Ashleigh Morris was at the Carlisle Stages of the Scottish Rally Championship at Kielder Forest. The stages presented a challenging rally with slippery conditions, but Ashleigh had a clean run and enjoyed them thoroughly, finishing third in her class and 42nd overall. Ashleigh was crowned the Scottish Rally Championship Ladies Champion. Ashleigh's next rally is at the Grizedale Stages on 3rd and 4th December.

Luke Harris was at a grasstrack meeting at Tallington, winning his first race, but in the second race poor visibility meant that he pulled out, before winning the third race. In the final, Luke finished second. Luke's next race is as a guest for Kent Kings Speedway this weekend.

Thomas Potter led from start to finish at Teesside Motorsport Track, winning every race that the weekend offered. He has one more round of the Teesside Sprint Series left and will be looking at challenging the leader as he is currently second in the Cadet Championship.

Sami Bowler took part in a 6-hour Birkett Relay in the All Porsche Trophy and 750 Motor Club at Silverstone. After a rocky start with two unplanned pitstops, Sami and her race partner Jamie had lots of places to make up. The duo finished in a fantastic 17th place out of 70 and second in the Porsche CAP Team Trophy.

Aaron Walker was at Donington Park in the penultimate round of the Junior Saloon Car Championship. In the two races, Aaron finished in 7th and 11th places respectively, maintaining his position of 5th in the overall championship. Aaron will be looking to end his season on a high and pick up as many points as possible in the final round which takes place at Brands Hatch on 6th and 7th November.
