Morris Lubricants Racing Weekend Round-Up 24-25 July 2021

Chloe Anna Jones stormed to victory in her section of the XC Enduro at Pentre'r Beirdd. The two and a half hour race was physically and mentally demanding, but her hard work over the past few months, along with plenty of courage and determination, paid off for her. Chloe celebrates this victory, having only started competing in enduro just three months ago. Chloe next heads to Ludlow on 22nd August, looking to continue to improve and build on her first win.

Luke Harris' race at Frittenden was sadly called off due to heavy thunderstorms as the track was not rideable, despite showing good form in the two early practices. Luke now looks forward to a Speedway meeting at the Isle of Wight on Thursday evening,

Sami Bowler had a challenging weekend at Snetterton in the 750 Motorsports Club Roadsports Series. Despite gaining pace during her race and making it into the top 10, unfortunately two of her front wheel studs had snapped, causing her to retire from the race. Sami heads to Silverstone on 7th and 8th August for the next round.

Catherine Potter reaped the rewards of modifying her kart to have more control, as she was as high as second during her race at the Warden Law Track.

Catherine's little brother Thomas won his second race before finishing third in the final race, showing great pace and form along the circuit.

Veryard Raciung headed to Cadwell Park and took home four second places, along with a third place finish. The team heads to Donington Park next.

Tom Ovenden picked up valuable points in the latest round of the Mini Challenge UK Cooper Class at Oulton Park. Tom heads to Croft Circuit on 7th and 8th August.

Jim Marsden took home the King of Britain title for the second time in two years, despite issues with the gearbox and a water leak and rolling Bad Penny! The team then fixed plenty of bushes, joints and starter motors before completing 62 miles in 3 hours to take the victory.

Taylor Mackenzie of Bathams Racing made up for a disrupted qualifying session by finishing third in his first race, before finishing fourth in the second race on day two at Brands Hatch. Mackenzie has now closed the gap on the National Superstock 1000 Championship leader with valuable points. The team heads to Thruxton next.
